Happenings

We've got all visas and passports in order now. We got a deal on our flight--754 for the each of us, and about 60 for Chloe. We'll fly out of Vancouver, B.C., on the 29th at 12:30. The return date is the 29th of April. Woohoo! Ethan is very nervous that he won't be able to speak well enough, so he's been studying in his spare time. Katrina's been cooking, writing lots of thank you cards, and hanging out with the fam. It's been nice to have some down time before we take off.

The search for housing is still ongoing. Ethan has a friend in Beijing hunting for an apartment for us, and we've contacted the Church branch, who are also helping to look for housing. We'll be staying with Ethan's Mom's Aunt, Joan Hinton, for the first few nights that we're there. We'll be arriving during the holiday that attends the Chinese New Year, so hopefully we'll be able to see some cool stuff during the holiday.

We watched the President's inaugural address this morning, and we're both excited about a new administration, regardless of who we voted for. It should be interesting to hear the views of the Chinese people about the new administration.

Comments:
